CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said a 24x7 women helpline has been introduced as well and hoped that denial of driving licenses, character certificates, passports and government jobs would act as a major deterrent.

The CM stressed upon marshal arts training for girl students and promised trained personnel to coach them.

"The government will appoint counselors to help traumatized rape victims as a step towards their rehabilitation." He said the government will introduce Rs 1 lakh nari samman awards for anyone rescuing women in distress.
