Seeking a SWOT analysis, the elite National Investigation Agency (NIA) is scouting for firms to monitor media reports of interest to the agency and give a feedback that could help improve its strategies.

According to the tender floated by NIA which is available on its official website, firms have been asked to submit their bids by October 4 for "daily media monitoring" for its Director General and up to the level of Superintendent of Police.

The selected firm will have to undertake a comprehensive search of media reports with regards to NIA and other issues as required by the agency and present a daily update in soft copies. NIA was set up in the aftermath of the 2008 Mumbai attack.

The update must be detailed report covering the entire gamut of media, the tender notification said.

It will include print media covering the Delhi edition of various newspapers and English and Hindi dailies published from Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ranchi, Guwahati and Jammu and Kashmir besides TV monitoring reports and TV clips.

The agency is also required to present a quarterly and annual SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) report on the basis of the daily news coverage in order to help NIA develop strategies for the future.
