                            <p align="justify"><font ></font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Seizure follows report of PDS kerosene being used for ritual by Swami Nithyananda</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >A media report literally adding fuel to the fire resulted in Food and Civil Supplies Department officials searching the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram near Bidadi on Wednesday and seizing around 120 litres of blue kerosene meant for the public distribution system.</font></p><p align="justify"><font >A team of six officials confiscated the fuel from the ashram of the controversial Swami Nithyananda after the report purportedly showed a religious ritual being performed using PDS kerosene, a regulated essential commodity, instead of ghee.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Report</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >The jurisdictional Bidadi police said they were expecting a report from the officials pertaining to the seizure.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Ashram's stance</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >Meanwhile, the ashram sought to distance itself from the new turn of events. In a press release, it said, &ldquo;There have been some remarks in media about the use of kerosene during the Pancha Tapas Yoga and, unfortunately, some people are using this as a reason to harass the ashram residents and to stop the ashram's spiritual activities.&rdquo;</font></p><p align="justify"><font >The ashram was unaware of the use of kerosene in the yaga, it said, adding that the swami's followers had been taking charge of various requirements at the ashram over the past few weeks. As the bank accounts of the ashram are still frozen, devotees are bringing in kitchen supplies and other essentials. The Pancha Tapas Yoga is being sponsored and organised by devotees who unknowingly used kerosene for the ritual, the press release said. However, it made no reference to the raid.<br /></font></p>

                            <p align="justify"><font ></font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Seizure follows report of PDS kerosene being used for ritual by Swami Nithyananda</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >A media report literally adding fuel to the fire resulted in Food and Civil Supplies Department officials searching the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram near Bidadi on Wednesday and seizing around 120 litres of blue kerosene meant for the public distribution system.</font></p><p align="justify"><font >A team of six officials confiscated the fuel from the ashram of the controversial Swami Nithyananda after the report purportedly showed a religious ritual being performed using PDS kerosene, a regulated essential commodity, instead of ghee.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Report</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >The jurisdictional Bidadi police said they were expecting a report from the officials pertaining to the seizure.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Ashram's stance</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >Meanwhile, the ashram sought to distance itself from the new turn of events. In a press release, it said, &ldquo;There have been some remarks in media about the use of kerosene during the Pancha Tapas Yoga and, unfortunately, some people are using this as a reason to harass the ashram residents and to stop the ashram's spiritual activities.&rdquo;</font></p><p align="justify"><font >The ashram was unaware of the use of kerosene in the yaga, it said, adding that the swami's followers had been taking charge of various requirements at the ashram over the past few weeks. As the bank accounts of the ashram are still frozen, devotees are bringing in kitchen supplies and other essentials. The Pancha Tapas Yoga is being sponsored and organised by devotees who unknowingly used kerosene for the ritual, the press release said. However, it made no reference to the raid.<br /></font></p>

                            <p align="justify"><font ></font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Seizure follows report of PDS kerosene being used for ritual by Swami Nithyananda</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >A media report literally adding fuel to the fire resulted in Food and Civil Supplies Department officials searching the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram near Bidadi on Wednesday and seizing around 120 litres of blue kerosene meant for the public distribution system.</font></p><p align="justify"><font >A team of six officials confiscated the fuel from the ashram of the controversial Swami Nithyananda after the report purportedly showed a religious ritual being performed using PDS kerosene, a regulated essential commodity, instead of ghee.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Report</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >The jurisdictional Bidadi police said they were expecting a report from the officials pertaining to the seizure.</font></p><p align="justify"><font ><em>Ashram's stance</em></font></p><p align="justify"><font >Meanwhile, the ashram sought to distance itself from the new turn of events. In a press release, it said, &ldquo;There have been some remarks in media about the use of kerosene during the Pancha Tapas Yoga and, unfortunately, some people are using this as a reason to harass the ashram residents and to stop the ashram's spiritual activities.&rdquo;</font></p><p align="justify"><font >The ashram was unaware of the use of kerosene in the yaga, it said, adding that the swami's followers had been taking charge of various requirements at the ashram over the past few weeks. As the bank accounts of the ashram are still frozen, devotees are bringing in kitchen supplies and other essentials. The Pancha Tapas Yoga is being sponsored and organised by devotees who unknowingly used kerosene for the ritual, the press release said. However, it made no reference to the raid.<br /></font></p>

PDS kerosene seized from ashram

Seizure follows report of PDS kerosene being used for ritual by Swami Nithyananda A media report literally adding fuel to the fire resulted in Food and Civil Supplies Department officials searching the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram near Bidadi on Wednesday and seizing around 120 litres of blue kerosene meant for the public distribution system. A team of six officials confiscated the fuel from the ashram of the controversial Swami Nithyananda after the report purportedly showed a religious ritual being performed using PDS kerosene, a regulated essential commodity, instead of ghee. Report The jurisdictional Bidadi police said they were expecting a report from the officials pertaining to the seizure. Ashram's stance Meanwhile, the ashram sought to distance itself from the new turn of events. In a press release, it said, “There have been some remarks in media about the use of kerosene during the Pancha Tapas Yoga and, unfortunately, some people are using this as a reason to harass the ashram residents and to stop the ashram's spiritual activities.” The ashram was unaware of the use of kerosene in the yaga, it said, adding that the swami's followers had been taking charge of various requirements at the ashram over the past few weeks. As the bank accounts of the ashram are still frozen, devotees are bringing in kitchen supplies and other essentials. The Pancha Tapas Yoga is being sponsored and organised by devotees who unknowingly used kerosene for the ritual, the press release said. However, it made no reference to the raid.
