NEW DELHI: The UPA is ready with facts and figures to counter Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi's growth model when he comes to the Planning Commission to discuss the state's annual plan for 2013-14 on Tuesday.

The UPA attack is expected to focus around claims that Modi's growth model is not inclusive as revealed by social indicators.

This will be Modi's first official meeting at the Centre after his elevation as head of BJP's campaign committee for the 2014 general elections.

During the meeting, Planning Commission officials are set to raise the issue of poor child sex ratio, high infant and maternal mortality rate and higher dropout rates to paint Modi's model as pro-rich and anti-poor.

The commission is likely to express displeasure that tribal districts of Gujarat fare worst on human health indicators.

Modi is likely to be targeted for proposing lesser allocation for development of SCs for the 2013-14 fiscal and the state government's failure to submit separate documents for SC sub-plan and tribal sub-plan will also be discussed.
