Education minister Brij Kishor Sharma said that the Right to Education Act will be strictly implemented in the state in order to improve quality of education. However, he said that dialogues are open with private and public schools to maintain their structural set-up.

The minister came to Ajmer on Thursday to participate in the convocation of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education held at Jawahar Rang Manch. Overall, 205 students from different parts of the state were honoured including eight, who were given gold medals for standing first in Class X and XII board exams last year. Nidhi Agarwal of Sawai Madhopur got the highest of seven medals for outstanding achievements in academics.

Addressing the students, Sharma said that girl students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes that score 75% will get scholarship not only in government but also in private schools. "Time is changing and so we have to change the pattern of education. I appeal to teachers that they divert their students towards vocational education so that they could use their talent in their respective fields," said Sharma.

Meanwhile, energy minister Jitendra Singh said that government is now setting up model schools in the state and that will bring revolution in qualitative education. "Parents are putting their hard earned money for education of their children. It is the duty of a student to always remember that the fees they are depositing has the smell of the sweat of their parents," said Singh.

He further said that with changing time, the meaning and level of education is also changing. Now students from rural regions and of middle class are also showing their talent in academics. The state education minister Naseem Akhtar also showed her concern over the qualitative education and emphasized more in rural areas.

Before the program, chairman of the board Subhash Garg put the yearly report and said that responsibility of bard has been increased in the past two years as more and more students are appearing from RBSE. "The board has made elaborate arrangements to check use of unfair-means in the board exams slated to be held in March. We have identified 8 district as sensitive zones on the basis of previous complaints and feedback where there are more chances of mass copying at some centers we will depute two flying squads in these areas this year."

Ravi Chanchal and Vishnu Jangid got six-six medals for their achievements. Parents who came to attend the program were happy to see the honor of their children and said that the honor will definitely boost the confidence of the family. There were parents from the villages and had wet eyes when they saw their son and daughters awarded medals for best achievements in examinations.
