Issues relating to the admission procedure, the reimbursement process and status of minority schools would be brought up. <br /><br />&quot;The centralized admission process and reimbursement to schools are on priority list. Earlier, we had raised this issue with the administration and would be great if some plan is revealed to us. We had also suggested that two-three team members should call a meeting with the department but nothing has been done,&quot; said HS Mamik, president of the independent schools' association. <br /><br />&quot;We are confused over the lottery admission system. We have no idea if students are to be enrolled on draw-of-lots basis till class VIII or is valid for students joining at nursery level. Parents have also questioned the system, said Saint Kabir's chairman JP Singh. Earlier, the minority schools had questioned their placement under the RTE Act for which, a clarification is expected. &quot;We are protected under constitution and permitted to govern our schools. Our main concerns are placement under the Act and how to go about it,&quot; said Kavita Das, principal of Saint John's High School. <br /><br />RTE activist Pankaj Changothia said, &quot;I will talk about division of 25% reservation quota in draft rules so that students from every category can be accommodated.&quot; <br /></div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">In yet another meeting scheduled for Saturday, education department officials and private schools' heads would discuss draft rules of the Right to Compulsory and Free Education Act (RTE), 2009. Issues relating to the admission procedure, the reimbursement process and status of minority schools would be brought up. <br /><br />&quot;The centralized admission process and reimbursement to schools are on priority list. Earlier, we had raised this issue with the administration and would be great if some plan is revealed to us. We had also suggested that two-three team members should call a meeting with the department but nothing has been done,&quot; said HS Mamik, president of the independent schools' association. <br /><br />&quot;We are confused over the lottery admission system. We have no idea if students are to be enrolled on draw-of-lots basis till class VIII or is valid for students joining at nursery level. Parents have also questioned the system, said Saint Kabir's chairman JP Singh. Earlier, the minority schools had questioned their placement under the RTE Act for which, a clarification is expected. &quot;We are protected under constitution and permitted to govern our schools. Our main concerns are placement under the Act and how to go about it,&quot; said Kavita Das, principal of Saint John's High School. <br /><br />RTE activist Pankaj Changothia said, &quot;I will talk about division of 25% reservation quota in draft rules so that students from every category can be accommodated.&quot; <br /></div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">In yet another meeting scheduled for Saturday, education department officials and private schools' heads would discuss draft rules of the Right to Compulsory and Free Education Act (RTE), 2009. Issues relating to the admission procedure, the reimbursement process and status of minority schools would be brought up. <br /><br />&quot;The centralized admission process and reimbursement to schools are on priority list. Earlier, we had raised this issue with the administration and would be great if some plan is revealed to us. We had also suggested that two-three team members should call a meeting with the department but nothing has been done,&quot; said HS Mamik, president of the independent schools' association. <br /><br />&quot;We are confused over the lottery admission system. We have no idea if students are to be enrolled on draw-of-lots basis till class VIII or is valid for students joining at nursery level. Parents have also questioned the system, said Saint Kabir's chairman JP Singh. Earlier, the minority schools had questioned their placement under the RTE Act for which, a clarification is expected. &quot;We are protected under constitution and permitted to govern our schools. Our main concerns are placement under the Act and how to go about it,&quot; said Kavita Das, principal of Saint John's High School. <br /><br />RTE activist Pankaj Changothia said, &quot;I will talk about division of 25% reservation quota in draft rules so that students from every category can be accommodated.&quot; <br /></div>

Schools, admn to discuss RTE rules tomorrow by Priyanka Agrawal

In yet another meeting scheduled for Saturday, education department officials and private schools' heads would discuss draft rules of the Right to Compulsory and Free Education Act (RTE), 2009. Issues relating to the admission procedure, the reimbursement process and status of minority schools would be brought up. "The centralized admission process and reimbursement to schools are on priority list. Earlier, we had raised this issue with the administration and would be great if some plan is revealed to us. We had also suggested that two-three team members should call a meeting with the department but nothing has been done," said HS Mamik, president of the independent schools' association. "We are confused over the lottery admission system. We have no idea if students are to be enrolled on draw-of-lots basis till class VIII or is valid for students joining at nursery level. Parents have also questioned the system, said Saint Kabir's chairman JP Singh. Earlier, the minority schools had questioned their placement under the RTE Act for which, a clarification is expected. "We are protected under constitution and permitted to govern our schools. Our main concerns are placement under the Act and how to go about it," said Kavita Das, principal of Saint John's High School. RTE activist Pankaj Changothia said, "I will talk about division of 25% reservation quota in draft rules so that students from every category can be accommodated."
