The urban development ministry has provided one month extension to the farmers affected by the proposed Jaipur ring road.

The JDA has provided the affected farmers option to choose between 25% of the developed land on side of ring road or monetary compensation against the land acquired for the project.

The decision to extend the offer period was taken during a meeting of the ring road empowered committee held on Tuesday under chairmanship of urban development minister Shanti Dhariwal.

A draft project report for ring road was also reviewed by the committee.

The report suggests development of the ring road on pattern of a six-lane expressway.

The toll however will be kept low to benefit people. The committee has approved for providing nearly 10 pockets of 2000 square meter land near ring road as compensation to the developer.
