Many economists have also said that MGNREGA has continued to be the only lifeline for rural workers&mdash;one that provides work and cash&mdash;in times of need and distress. This money helped to create the purchasing power in the society which helped the economy recover.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">A dharna is being planned by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha, a national platform of organisations and individuals agitating for the entitlements of the Employment Guarantee Act on 2- 4 August, 10 AM - 5PM. Thousands of NREGA workers from 15 states and their supporters will gather at Jantar Mantar to demand the Government of India to allow them to live a life of dignity as per the Constitution of this country. Their immediate specific demands are the timely release of NREGA funds including the Rs.10,000 crores pending wages.                             <p style="text-align:justify">-Press release by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha dated August 2, 2022</p><p style="text-align:justify">During and after Covid, NREGA work has been the lifeline for more than 70 percent of the country&rsquo;s population, when the cities sent back the migrants, it was NREGA that gave them the life of dignity in the rural areas. Many economists have also said that MGNREGA has continued to be the only lifeline for rural workers&mdash;one that provides work and cash&mdash;in times of need and distress. This money helped to create the purchasing power in the society which helped the economy recover.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">A dharna is being planned by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha, a national platform of organisations and individuals agitating for the entitlements of the Employment Guarantee Act on 2- 4 August, 10 AM - 5PM. Thousands of NREGA workers from 15 states and their supporters will gather at Jantar Mantar to demand the Government of India to allow them to live a life of dignity as per the Constitution of this country. Their immediate specific demands are the timely release of NREGA funds including the Rs.10,000 crores pending wages.                             <p style="text-align:justify">-Press release by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha dated August 2, 2022</p><p style="text-align:justify">During and after Covid, NREGA work has been the lifeline for more than 70 percent of the country&rsquo;s population, when the cities sent back the migrants, it was NREGA that gave them the life of dignity in the rural areas. Many economists have also said that MGNREGA has continued to be the only lifeline for rural workers&mdash;one that provides work and cash&mdash;in times of need and distress. This money helped to create the purchasing power in the society which helped the economy recover.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">A dharna is being planned by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha, a national platform of organisations and individuals agitating for the entitlements of the Employment Guarantee Act on 2- 4 August, 10 AM - 5PM. Thousands of NREGA workers from 15 states and their supporters will gather at Jantar Mantar to demand the Government of India to allow them to live a life of dignity as per the Constitution of this country. Their immediate specific demands are the timely release of NREGA funds including the Rs.10,000 crores pending wages. A 3-day dharna for the rights of the MGNREGA workers begins today at Delhi's Jantar Mantar

-Press release by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha dated August 2, 2022 During and after Covid, NREGA work has been the lifeline for more than 70 percent of the country’s population, when the cities sent back the migrants, it was NREGA that gave them the life of dignity in the rural areas. Many economists have also said that MGNREGA has continued to be the only lifeline for rural workers—one that provides work and cash—in times of need and distress. This money helped to create the purchasing power in the society which helped the economy recover.  A dharna is being planned by NREGA Sangharsh Morcha, a national platform of organisations and individuals agitating for the entitlements of the Employment Guarantee Act on 2- 4 August, 10 AM - 5PM. Thousands of NREGA workers from 15 states and their supporters will gather at Jantar Mantar to demand the Government of India to allow them to live a life of dignity as per the Constitution of this country. Their immediate specific demands are the timely release of NREGA funds including the Rs.10,000 crores pending wages.
