                            <div style="text-align: justify">-The Hindustan Times</div><p style="text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify"><em>Bhilwara, Rajasthan: </em>The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her.</p><p style="text-align: justify">The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on  August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre.</p><p style="text-align: justify">While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div style="text-align: justify">The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan.</div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.</div><p>&nbsp;</p>

                            <div style="text-align: justify">-The Hindustan Times</div><p style="text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify"><em>Bhilwara, Rajasthan: </em>The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her.</p><p style="text-align: justify">The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on  August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre.</p><p style="text-align: justify">While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div style="text-align: justify">The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan.</div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.</div><p>&nbsp;</p>

                            <div style="text-align: justify">-The Hindustan Times</div><p style="text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify"><em>Bhilwara, Rajasthan: </em>The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her.</p><p style="text-align: justify">The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on  August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre.</p><p style="text-align: justify">While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div style="text-align: justify">The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan.</div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.</div><p>&nbsp;</p>

NHRC orders Rs. 50,000-fine for delivery on roadside -Avantika Mehta

-The Hindustan Times   Bhilwara, Rajasthan: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her. The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal. According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre. While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside. According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.   The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan. Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.
