Traditional water harvesting in Bundelkhand
Fieldwork: For the 'Grain banks of Bundelkhand' story, visited to villages in Banda, Mahoba, and Jalaun. For the 'Traditional water harvesting in Bundelkhand’ story', visit to Jhansi, Banda, Mahoba (in Uttar Pradesh) and Orcha and Tikamgarh (in Madhya Pradesh). There are 108 traditional water harvesting structures built in ancient times in Tikamgarh and many of them still exist. I would visit some of them, apart from visiting several 'Sagars' built by Chandel kings. These structures sill exist and are functional too. They are spread over in Mahoba, Banda, Tikamgarh, Khajuroho

facilities can help the poor.
Theme : Health situation in Mewat, Haryana.
Fieldwork: Nuh, the district headquarter of Mewat - Collect information on NRHM and RSBY. Interview some patients at district hospital.
Hathin, Block headquarter - Interview patients at health center; panchayat in the Hathin Block to meet people. Interview some of the BPL families. Whether they are getting the benefits of the health schemes.
Nagina, Block headquarter, meet Block official and take a note of health schemes. Meet some private doctor and visit some clinics; Collect information on health expenditure of BPL and SCs families; Interview some heath worker.
Touro block - Collect information regarding health expenditure of local people. Try to find out some beneficiary of RSBY.

Project Proposal : खबर लहरिया एक ग्रामीण अखबार है जिसे उत्तर प्रदेश के बुन्देलखण्ड क्षेत्र के दो जिलों से प्रकाशित किया जाता है - बांदा और चित्रकूट। अखबार की शुरुआत 2002 में हुई और आठ साल से यह एकमात्र अखबार है जो स्थानीय खबरों और विकास से जुड़े मुद्दों को गहराई से लिखता है। अखबार का प्रकाशन ग्रामीण महिला पत्रकारों द्वारा किया जाता है।
खबर लहरिया की पत्रकारों ने बांदा - चित्रकूट में 8 सालों में अलग-अलग मुद्दों के बारे में लिखा है, जैसे - सूखा, नरेगा, स्वास्थ्य, स्थानीय राजनीति, इत्यादि।
विकास के तहत पंचायत की जिम्मेदारी पर हम एक 6-7 खबरों को एक श्रृंखला में पेश करना चाहते हैं। हमारी खबरों के स्रोत होंगे - सरकारी आंकड़े, गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं के काम पर आधारित जानकारी, जिला, ब्लाक और ग्राम पंचायत स्तर पर तहकीकात। हमारे मुख्य स्रोत होंगे वे लोग जो सबसे शोषित समुदाय से हैं - महिलाएं, दलित, आदिवासी - जिनकी आवाज़ें और खबरें मुख्यधारा के अखबारों में बहुत कम पढ़ने को मिलती हैं।
इन समुदाय के लोगों के जरिये हम अलग-अलग विकास की योजनाएं की पहुंच को जानना चाहते हैं। हमारी खबरें व्यक्तिगत या सामूहिक इन्टरव्यू के रूप में होंगी। हम अधिकारियों और गाँव के लोगों के बीच चर्चाओं को फीचर के रूप में भी प्रस्तुत करना चाहेंगे। इसके अलावा चित्रकूट और बांदा के गांव, कस्बों की झांकियां पेश करने के लिए हम फोटोफीचर भी करना चाहेंगे - जो इन इलाकों की विशेषता दूसरे पाठकों के लिए सजीव रूप में प्रस्तुत कर पाएगा।
